What, that title wasn't self explanatory? Here's a quote from an, umm, presidential debate at Progressive Historians:
McCain: I'm an old codger. I don't like this new Internets stuff. I prefer things from a long, long time ago, like Greg Carrier's article at In The Middle on Medieval Disability. Greg gives an excellent overview of that emerging field of historical inquiry. So ... McCain gets the medieval vote?

Most welcome -- thanks for the link back!
Wow. Guess this is what I get for forgetting to check ITM for the past two weeks?....
I do wonder how disabled people in the medieval period would feel about McCain and Obama's policies for the disabled, though.
Incidentally, a survey came out a few days ago claiming that 52% of Americans would rather be dead than live with a 'severe disability that would adversely affect their quality of life.'
Mind you, the methodology is quite sketchy. If anyone wants to read it, it's up on my blog near the top under the humorous comic of how St Brendan discovered Canada, not Cartier or Cabot. Oh, Canada.... =)
