In relation to my recent post "Regarding My Dismay with the Medieval Academy of America," it might interest some to know that the Nineteenth-Century Studies Association [NCSA] also had to recently ponder moving its annual meeting out of Tempe, and they did so [they will be meeting in Sante Fe, NM instead], and not without some of the same deliberative pains undergone by the MAA. In the final analysis, they write a better letter explaining why:
