Many of the participants in the AVMEO conference stated that it was the best conference they'd attended. Out of false modesty I am forbidden to say the same, but neither will I object.
By a cruel trick of the clock the festivities that concluded at 2 AM suddenly transported us to 3 AM, so I am a tiny bit tired today. I hope to compose a fuller blog post soon. Meanwhile, however, let me publicly express my gratitude to my co-organizers (Gil Harris, Lowell Duckert, Nedda Mehdizadeh), my GW colleagues, the ten plenary speakers, and the roughly fifty attendees. Together you transformed a conference into an Event.
