The University of Minnesota Press blog has a nice little piece on how artist Jeff Clark arrived at his design for the cover of Prismatic Ecology: Ecotheory Beyond Green. He was inspired by a photo I took of Gullfoss in Iceland, and experimented with various materials before arriving at the vivid image he eventually created.Remarkably, Clark's process has much in common with how James le Palmer, John Ryan and the Mississippi River compose with color, at least as I argue in the book's introduction.
