Hunter Dukes reviews Stone: An Ecology of the Inhuman in the latest edition of the Los Angeles Review of Books. The framing of the project is generous, and I'm deeply grateful: such has not been my experience of reviews in the past, which have tended to speak of the book I should have written rather than the book I published. I had also been worrying that the three excursus would seem extraneous, so it is also gratifying to know that at least this reviewer sees what I was attempting.
And now to pack for New Zealand ...
